Russ Irwin is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Melville, New York. He was signed by Charles Koppelman to SBK Records in 1991, and a self-titled album, produced by Phil Ramone, followed later that year. The album peaked at #28 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and the single, "My Heart Belongs to You", hit #28 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1]
Irwin was a one-hit wonder; however, he toured with Roxette in 1992, and went on to play with Mayfield featuring Curt Smith, lead singer of Tears for Fears, later in the 1990s. He has also appeared with Aerosmith (1997–present) Sting (2000–2001) and Bryan Adams (2002) on tour.[2] Most recently, he has written and produced songs for Foreigner, Meat Loaf, Scorpions and Clay Aiken.
